Bio and Experience

Consultant has certified with Fashion Image Institute and is qualified to work with private, individual and corporate clients.

The Image Consultant Certification Course, taught by Gillian Armour, (CIP) was immensely effective. Through participation in the course, I have gained the knowledge I need to start my career as an Image Consultant. I learned how to use color theory and seasonal color analysis to determine which colors would accentuate my client’s skin tone and make her look her best and brightest. Additionally, the course taught me how to perform a body shape analysis to ascertain figure type and identify clothing choices that will compliment that figure.

Also, it was extremely helpful to receive instruction on how to begin to talk to clients about their personal style and style goals, as this initial interaction is vital. I especially appreciated the emphasis on building a trusting relationship between the Image Consultant and the client. A person’s style and body are extremely personal. If a trusting, comfortable environment is not created right off the bat, the image Consultant will not be able to work effectively with the client.

Finally, this course gave me some background knowledge about the fashion industry as a whole. As an Image Consultant, I am a part of the fashion industry. I need to understand the way the industry operates if I am to be successful in my occupation. I am extremely grateful for the instruction I received from the Image Consultant Certification Course. I now feel prepared and excited to embark on my new career!

Sincerely, Emily Karelitz
