Dear Ms. Armour, For the last 15 years, I have been in the financial world - client service, project work and institutional sales. Throughout it all, I have traveled to almost every state, have seen various company cultures from manufacturing to entrepreneurial, and have worked with men and women from different backgrounds, ethnicities and educational levels. I share this because even though I have been incredibly blessed with opportunities and for people who took chances on me, deep down, I knew I was meant to do something else. In January of 2019, I finally decided to pursue my personal passion - how to help people project the best version of themselves through style and fashion. After researching, I found and signed up for my certified image stylist professional certification. This course drew me in , particularly, because of its' professionalism, accreditation, flexibility and thoroughness. I still have my full-time job, travel weekly for work and have a two year old at home, so I needed a course that was adaptable to my schedule, thorough yet challenging to keep me energized, motivated and engaged. This course gave me all the tools, articles and resources to expand my knowledge and teach me the foundation around color analysis, facial shapes and how to maximize peoples' unique physical attributes, so they are comfortable and confident. The assignments gave me the opportunity to test my knowledge through hands on examples (I LOVED the pic collages and the store department analysis assignments - they were my favorite). I also feel grateful for the insight the course gave on having a mission statement, growing and maintaining a business and the network of others who share the same passion - we all can learn and grow from each other.
