Bio and Experience

I help women find their personal style. I help them organize their wardrobes, choosing styles that fit, flatter, coordinate and make them look fabulous, boosting their confidence and self esteem. Getting dressed every day becomes a pleasant experience. Working in high end women's clothing for fifteen years has allowed me to help many women "get dressed". There is nothing more satisfying than to see a woman discover that she can have style and enjoy getting dressed, whatever the occasion.

Consultant has certified with Fashion Stylist Institute and is qualified to work with private, individual and corporate clients.

For about 10 years I have been thinking about becoming a wardrobe stylist. I read books and articles, talked to friends about it, but didn't know how to get started or certified. I couldn't find courses at local colleges or schools, so I started to look online, even though I'm not computer savvy (and in fact didn't even have a computer). I was delighted to eventually find the Certified Wardrobe Stylist course at Fashion Style Institute, and signed up as soon as I'd saved enough to buy a computer and pay for the course. The content of the course was informative and interesting, and I learned a tremendous amount. Having worked in women's retail for the past 15 years, I knew when outfits "looked right" but didn't understand why. Now I do. I particularly like the fact that this course allowed me to go at my own pace, since I knew I had at least two separate weeks when I would be unable to study. I was also impressed with the speed of grading assignments, and the feedback from the instructors. On the negative side, I did have a few computer glitches, and it took me a while to understand the format of the website and the course, most likely due to my lack of computer skills. (I'm still struggling to join a forum but will persist!) I have often been asked by customers if I would help them declutter their closets, help make them more efficient and manageable, with clothes that fit and flatter.
