Bio and Experience

I grew up with my own fashion icon. She never went with bare nails for long, she made the lbd cool before it was cool. She taught me everything I know, most importantly to be myself, have my own style. I want to help other women do the same thing. After a career of more than 25 years in retail management I am excited to work one-on-one with women and help them capture their own style from their own closet.

Consultant has certified with Fashion Image Institute and is qualified to work with private, individual and corporate clients.

"I was at a point in my life where I was planning my "next chapter", as they say. I retired from my 25+ year retail management career several years ago in order to pursue a time in ministry as well as be home more for my family. As my son is now a senior in high school the time came to pursue my next step. Though I have always loved fashion, loved being with people, loved a career that was full of variety, I did not want to go back to retail and that crazy schedule.

I did a lot of research both in print and on the internet in regards to becoming a wardrobe stylist. I have been helping my friends organize,. reinvent, and shop for their wardrobes for years. I researched many programs prior to signing up for the Certified Wardrobe Stylist program here at Fashion Stylist Institute. The presentation of the courses, the explanation of the course list, the website itself, and the resources that are given to graduates were the main reasons I chose this program. I am so glad I did!

I have to say I was apprehensive to an online course at first. I have been out of the college/study world for many years and online courses were completely uncharted territory for me. I was anxious as to how I would navigate the site and complete the assignments as needed and most importantly do well. Once on the site it was easy to get started and begin learning. I did have a couple of "hiccups" in the beginning. I sent a message online and received a response immediately. Once I continued I it was so easy to navigate through the assignments successfully. I feel the program clear and succinct. I feel like the information given is so pertinent to the work of a wardrobe stylist and I feel I learned a lot. I really like the mix of interactive study, the variety in the assignments and the different methods you use for testing the learning from multiple choice test questions to essays to the styling game.
